I spend most of my time somewhere between an API handler and the cluster it runs on — mainly in Go, TypeScript and Python, with Kubernetes, AWS and the rest of the cloud-native toolbox underneath. The work I like best is the unglamorous kind: finding the index that takes a query from 35.7s to 3.7s, or the extra round trip that was quietly costing a login 1.7s.
Along the way I’ve written a Go SDK for a blockchain, an upgrade agent that migrates a CNCF control plane between versions without anyone babysitting it, and an edge proxy on Cloudflare Workers that Organic Maps still routes tens of thousands of requests a day through. You can find the full projects list here, or a longer account of where I’ve worked.
Outside of shipping things, I like competitive programming, poking at other people’s infrastructure diagrams, and the slow satisfaction of deleting code that turned out to be unnecessary.

I’m open to interesting backend and infrastructure work — if you’re building something where latency, reliability or developer experience actually matters, get in touch.
